Introduction The anterior divisions of the 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, and 11th thoracic intercostal nerves extend anteriorly from the intercostal spaces into the abdominal wall and are hence directed to as thoracoabdominal nerves/thoracoabdominal intercostal nerves.
