  • FDP = Flexor Digitorum Profundus is a fusiform muscle located in deep muscle within the anterior (flexor) compartment of the forearm.
  • The FDP = Flexor Digitorum Profundus muscle divides into 4 tendons which are run down on the forearm & closer to the bone.
  • These Flexor Digitorum Profundus tendons are inserted into the base of the distal phalanges of all the fingers of the patient hand.
  • this Sweater Finger Sign test assists in bending means flexing the fingers in the fingertip joint.
